Individual pots at $5 each with a live prickly pear cactus plant in each pot. First come, first choice.
They are easy to grow and keep alive in pots. You can plant them in the ground too, but they will take over an area if you don't keep it in check. They will remain healthy looking in the pot during fall and winter frost and freezing IF you cover them with a frost blanket each time there is a chance of frost or freezing. You do not need to cover them with a frost blanket to keep them alive, though. But without a frost blanket they will look as if they have died after a hard freeze, but they will wake back up and come to life again in the spring when things warm up again!!
You can transplant them, wearing gloves, and using tongs to hold the cactus with one hand while scooping dirt with the other hand. Use tongs and sticks to situate the prickly pear cactus in your decorative pot or in the ground. Add rocks to complete the look.
These will have yellow flowers. One pot is showing in bloom and one has already bloomed. I cannot remember if they bloom just once a year or not. The other 2 plants have not bloomed yet.
